But that's why we do this, because if you don't express these things out loud, then you just start to ruminate and then you drive yourself crazy because you confuse yourself. And then as soon as you say something out loud, there is clarity in the expression of your thought.

Yes, exactly right. So that representation right there is an extreme external rotation orientation. So when we talk about Ian's question about lateral knee pain and things like that, that's what we're talking about. That's extremely external rotation orientation. So I worked with some competitive equestrians and some dressage people. And those are really big. Like the dressage is really big horses. And so they are really extreme. And you'll see a lot of like, they get a lot of pubic pain because of the amount of pressure through the front of the pelvis, you're going to see a posterior lower compressive strategy every time. They're going to have it's pure external rotation orientation, which means that they need internal rotation orientation somewhere else, which is going to be the orientation of the pelvis. It's going to take the spine forward. You got to bring her from out here to in here. Yeah. And you can't do that with a horse between your knees.

It doesn't negate the importance of some aspect of training, but to say, 'it's this, it's like, no, it's not.' It could be a technical glitch. It could be that you came out of your stance five degrees taller than you were last time because you're too tired to hold your position. That's why I'm talking about capturing the position, producing force there, doing it quickly, and then doing it over and over and over again because fatigue accumulation reduces your ability to do those things. So if I'm too tired to assume the optimal position and I get lifted up, is that core strength? No, it's just fatigue that doesn't allow me to capture the position in the first place.

That makes sense. Just building it from the static end position to just decrease the momentum that they're coming in with essentially. So it would be easier to conceptually orient against less.

Cool. There's no difference between the neuro patient and the ortho patient. Just so we're clear. It's just a matter of constraints. Good morning. Happy Friday. I have no coffee in hand and it is perfect. All right, we got a big weekend coming up. IFAST is moving this weekend. So today's pack up day, tomorrow's moving day. So we'll be in the new place by next week. It should be pretty exciting weekend. With that in mind, also a big announcement: Intensive 15. The Intensive 15 will be November 18th through the 21st. I will be releasing that to the mentorship list, most likely today at some point in time, so they can start submitting their applications for that. Only eight people are going to be selected to come, so get your application in as quickly as possible once that is released. Like I said, probably later today. So November 18th through the 21st for the Intensive 15. Okay. Digging in today's Q&A. This is from Christian from yesterday's Coffee and Coaches conference call. Might be one of the coolest videos that we've done in quite some time. Reason being: Christian works in a neuro rehab setting, which right away you start thinking like, oh, that's different from everything else that we talk about. The reality is it's not different at all. And that's why this video is so important. So what we're going to do is we're going to talk our way through a couple of situations that will allow you to see that movement occurs in the same way. So the rules don't change. It's always compression expansion. It's always ERs and IRs. We use some of the same activities. We just use it from a little bit of a different perspective because of the difference in the constraints. So if you've ever questioned how we're going to apply this model in different contexts, this is going to be the video for you. So even if you don't do neural rehab, you're going to take something away from this. If you do work in neural rehab, it might be something that maybe you think that something is different and it's not really that different. So again, I think it will be useful for you all. If you would like to participate in a 15-minute consultation, please go to askbillhartman at gmail.com, put 15-minute consultation in the subject line, and we will arrange that at our mutual convenience. Everybody have an outstanding Friday. Enjoy your weekend. If you want to help us move, hey, there's a thought. Come by iFast, and we'll give you something to do. If you don't, no big deal. We will see you next week.

Really hard, okay? You need to stand up. Put your right foot slightly in front of your left foot. Can you point your camera down at your legs? I can try. That'll work. Just move back a little bit. Okay. Move back a little bit. Can you move back at all? Yes. Here we go. Put your right foot slightly in front of your left foot. Just a little bit. Okay. Bend both knees. Okay. Now go straight down with your pelvis. So your knees go forward and your tibia translates over your foot. Okay. Now in regards to where your tibia is, if we were talking about propulsion, where would your tibia be early, middle or late?

I see, I see. Yeah. So you mentioned that, for example, if it's a right straight punch, the internal rotation wave would travel from the left, so from the lead leg up towards the opposite arm, yes?

Yeah. So again, it's like, you're on the right track. But what I would do is be a little bit more patient, capture some more ER and then make sure that when you're trying to recapture the IR that your representation at the pelvis is appropriate because I'm guessing you're overshooting your capabilities. Therefore, you're sticking yourself right back into a late representation. Classic me. You're just trying too hard.
